Be Enlightened in Christ and Transform People for the Glory of God

Founded in April 2015 by a group of families in Sacramento, California, St. Basil’s Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church is under the Malankara Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church in North America and under the Apostolic Holy See of Patriarch of Antioch and All the East. Our church is dedicated to St. Baselios Yeldo, who is a saint dear to the faithful in Malankara, India.

From our humble beginning, we were blessed with our own church facility in Sacramento in August 2019. Our new Church was consecrated by Archbishop His Eminence Mor Titus Yeldo on October 2019, on the Feast Day of St. Baselios Yeldo.Today, St. Basil’s Church is a vibrant, growing community with the Holy Qurbono service celebrated every Sunday and feast days becoming occasions of great celebration and spiritual growth. Our church services are held in Malayalam, Syriac and English languages. Our spiritual organizations continue to provide many opportunities for learning and working together to reach a common goal.
